Itinerary and highlights
South of Lima, sea lions, Humboldt penguins, flamingos and other protected species live in harmony. Literally thousands of sea lions are housed in Paracas. We will also be able to see El Candelabro, an enormous geoglyph, one more of the enigmas that this area of Peru has accustomed us to.
In Ica we will visit a typical hacienda of the Peruvian coast. We will do a wine tasting of Hacienda Nieto and we will see the production process of this drink.
Ica highlights extensive agriculture and agro-export. Grapes, asparagus, date palms, pecans, cotton, mangoes, and avocados are grown. Ica is one of the most successful cases of agro-export.
Huacachina is a desert oasis and small village just west of the city of Ica, in southwestern Peru. Here you will ride in a private buggie through the desert. You can practice sandboarding in the dunes of Huacachina. You will see all the commercial development around the oasis.
At its center are the green waters of the Huacachina lagoon, which is believed to have therapeutic properties and is surrounded by palm trees. The shores of the lagoon have bars and clubs.
