Huaca Pucllana – History in the Heart of Miraflores
Huaca Pucllana is an imposing ceremonial center of the Lima Culture (400–700 AD), built with adobe bricks in the form of a stepped pyramid. It is located in the heart of the Miraflores district, surrounded by modern Lima, making it a unique contrast between past and present.
Thanks to its central location, it is very easy to reach: it is just minutes from Lima's main hotels, avenues, and tourist areas. Guided tours are also available, offering insights into the religious and administrative life of one of the oldest cultures on the Peruvian coast.
Here we can see some of the typical fruits and vegetables of Peru; it will be a perfect stop to find out why Peruvian food is so popular.
From this beautiful square we will see the Lima Cathedral, the Arzobipal Palace, government palace and water fountain.
It will be one of the best parts of the tour; we will be able to see one of the oldest libraries in America, the famous catacombs and 16th-century paintings. It will be a fantastic experience with our guide.
Our last stop will be at this beautiful park to enjoy a fantastic view of the entire Lima coast. After this, we will drop you off at your hotel or any nearby location you prefer.
