Itinerary and highlights
Pick up from your hotel located in the residential district of Miraflores, private transfer to the traditional Surquillo Market. On this tour we will discover the secrets of Peruvian cuisine. We can appreciate and taste various Peruvian foods, such as: Camote, Camu Camu, purple maize, rocoto, maca, quinoa, Peruvian peppers, etc.
Continue through the Historic Center of Lima, where you will pass through Plaza San Martin and Plaza Mayor and your guide will give us an explanation about its history. Then you enter the Convent Museum of San Francisco and Catacombs, a jewel of colonial architecture.
Then we will have lunch at the Restaurant El Bolivariano, located in an old Franciscan estate, built in the XXIII century. Where we will enjoy typical dishes of Peruvian gastronomy such as Lomo saltado, Chicken pepper with white rice, Cebiche of fish with choclo and Lechón al cylinder in sweet and sour sauce, among others. Finally we will return to the district of Miraflores, between 3 : 40 to 4 : 00 pm.
